What We Want

Brain Wave is more than just a clothing brand. We aim to build a community focused on self-love and authenticity. Our goal is to empower individuals to overcome limitations and take control of their lives.

By comparing life's ups and downs to a surfer who effortlessly adjusts his position in a reshaping wave, or to an artist who lets his artwork unveil itself through the natural process, we encourage everyone to live in flow. This philosophy promotes the idea of embracing one's emotions as guides that lead us down the right path. Thus, our goal is to inspire people to express themselves authentically, without judging their emotions.

Through our efforts, we aim to combat the stigma around mental health. We see mental health struggles as opportunities for self-discovery and personal growth. It's crucial to treat them with love, respect, and acceptance, just like any other aspect of life.

 How Brain Wave was Born

Hey, I'm Miguel (the one on the ground), and  this was one of the happiest days of my life. However, 2020 was heavy for me and not because of the pandemic. I had a mental breakdown that sank me into a hole so deep, I couldn't even talk or walk straight.

Even though I first thought of the breakdown as the worst possible outcome for my life, it sparked a journey of personal growth- a continuous process of rediscovering myself. During this process, surfing, art, and music were my greatest sources of help and inspiration as they fueled my passion and gave me the strength to carry on. Now, I can say I'm doing better than ever. Through this experience, I learned that anything is possible, and we as human beings have the inner strength to heal ourselves, no matter how tough the situation.

Brain Wave is an idea born from my experience. During the recovery, I drew a self-watering flower, symbolizing the day I took responsibility for my life and choices. The brand is inspired by that flower and it allows me to pursue what I love in my life while sharing what helped the most during my toughest days. It's a message of hope and resilience, encouraging others to find their inner strength and overcome struggles.
